The Generations Connect Project Thank You Giving Luncheon was held on 18 August 2026, marking an important milestone as the project drew to a close. Since its launch, more than 1,000 university students have participated in home visits and community outreach, reaching approximately 10,000 older adults across Hong Kong’s 18 districts.
During the luncheon, the project team presented the overall findings of the Generations Connect Project, highlighting the health and primary healthcare needs of older adults identified through the project. The findings also provided district-level insights to support NGOs and community partners in developing more targeted health promotion and support strategies for older adults.
The event also provided an opportunity to thank the participating students, NGOs, community partners and supporters for their contributions throughout the project, and to celebrate the collective efforts in promoting healthy ageing, intergenerational connection and ageing in place.
